Walking Tour with Nathaniel Flakin and Die gute Seite
Few European cities can boast a history as storied and tumultuous as that of Berlin. It
has been bombed, rebuilt and carved in two. In REVOLUTIONARY BERLIN,
veteran tour guide Nathaniel Flakin invites you to stand in the places where this
history was written, and to follow in the footsteps of those who helped write it.
In this outdoor reading / mini tour, Nathaniel Flakin will talk about revolutionary
history that took place right around the bookstore DIE GUTE SEITE on Richardplatz
in Neukölln. This will include: the founding of Neukölln, street battles between
communists and Nazis in the 1920s, and youth protests in 1968.
The event is outside and in English. It will last 60 minutes. You can get a signed copy
